About

Why PisoLens exists

PisoLens is built by Marc Niño Christopher Ocampo — one developer, not a company. It started as a set of inflation tools, and now centers on the one question every Filipino fresh graduate and new employee faces: is the salary I am being offered fair, what will actually reach my pocket, and can I live on it?

The mission: make the real value of a salary visible using only transparent, official data — BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, PSA, and DOLE. When the data is thin, we say so plainly instead of inventing a number. That honesty is this site’s entire stake.

PisoLens has no side to take: it is not affiliated with any government agency, recruiter, or employer. Everything it outputs is educational — not financial, tax, or legal advice.

Data & Info

PisoLens uses official Philippine sources first: PSA OpenSTAT for inflation, GDP, labor, and trade, plus BSP tables for FX, reserves, remittances, and policy rates.

Inspired in part by Benjamin Graham's The Intelligent Investor.

Not financial advice. For educational purposes only, using official PSA and BSP releases where available, and not affiliated with any government agency. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
